The Story

My work happens in the quiet corners of home.

I paint botanicals inspired by stillness and quiet moments.

HurStories is named after my mother’s maiden name—
a reminder of where I come from, and the stories we carry with us.

I found my way back to Christ in a season that felt heavy.

There was a time when life came to a complete halt,
and I couldn’t do much at all.
So I returned to painting.

I had to learn to let go and trust—
which didn’t come easy.

It felt like I was moving backward, not forward.

When I paint, it takes me somewhere else—
a place of calm and peace,
where fear becomes a whisper.

From that place, I began creating these cards—
pairing what I was painting with scripture.

Something small,
that meets you where you are.

A way to feel seen,
and to remember you’re not alone in it.

A quiet reminder you can return to, again and again.
